A BLATANT LIE FROM THAMES WATER

Thames Water made this claim in an email:

"if the levels in the watercourse are higher than the asset, this will automatically close the flap and not allow flows from our network to disperse into the watercourse. We do know that this occurred in the July flooding incidents, as because of rainfall levels, the river levels were extremely high which meant the disperse point was closed. Though as you may appreciate, we cannot control river levels."

This is just not true as the comment on the Hornets Nest explains

High tide on 12th of July (a not particularly high) was at 4:40 pm - it was continuously falling before and during the flooding incident. By 6:30 pm it was 1.63mt below this high.

  1. The Dame needs to write to Felicty Buchan MP (and Cllr Mona Rossi) and make sure that this information is recorded in the Official report and commented on by Thames Water.

  2. Wonder of wonders - at 10am a Suez tanker (on behalf of RBKC) cleared my local street gulley in Cambridge Gardens. The first I have ever seen in 30 years!

Thames Water and Boris Johnson tell lies. Thames Water will say all sorts of things to avoid liability with regard to the homes that they have destroyed through their negligence.

Just like our estimable Prime Minister, Boris Johnson MP, the truth does not matter to Thames Water as long everyone believes what they say to get them off the hook. To rectify the appalling damage that Thames Water has done to people's homes would be a small amount of money for them to find and would not impact too greatly on Thames Water's "bottom line" profits.

If it were not for the Dame and the Hornet, those affected by this appalling situation would be unable to disseminate the truth.
