BILLIONAIRE BRINGS IN PLANNING GENIUS

In attempt to put off guard and ingratiate himself with neighbours, Canadian media mogul, David Graham, has enlisted the services of  'go to' planning guru, Nick de Lotinbiere.
de Lotinbiere has a formidable reputation and his opening gambit is an ingratiating letter to Graham's neighbours implying the planned works will be no more disruptive than the digging of a fish pond!
Ignore him! This vast basement  excavation will create traffic nightmares in an already congested Walton Street; disrupt the lives of neighbours and damage business. It will go on for at least two years.
Luckily, Graham has homes around the world so can escape to the tranquility of one of them: his neighbours have no such option...oh, and Nick de L is not a neighbour...why does he pretend he is?

  1. Nick Lobotomy is another spiv from Savills. One of those public school boys who cannot get a job anywhere else. At least it keeps the reptile off the streets.

He styles himself "Head of Planning". Well he forgot to mention the new noise abatement measures that are being introduced by the Council. This will give his client, the Canadian prat, lots of headaches.

All in all, a thoroughly undesirable crew of offshore wankers and estate agents who have no business disrupting the lives of Chelsea residents

    1. Knight Frank Estate Agents told me the other day that basement applications in the Royal Borough are down 75% from last year. The punters have found that it is actually terrible to live in an unventilated hole in the ground (with no natural light) and the much vaunted profit from £500/sq ft to dig and £2000/sq ft value created is not happening. Buyers will not pay.

The Canadian may want to revisit his business plan and the public school failures at Savills need to be careful about egging on their clients with false information.

  2. When one sees a letter like this, it is a sure sign that the community is in for a rough ride. Expensive men in suits spouting psycho babble. Does the name Coleridge come to mind?

If the Canadian had an ounce of decency and breeding in his pathetic body, he would know how to do the decent thing. Approach his neighbours in person, tell them what he would like to do and why he needs to do it, and ask for their understanding and tolerance. And listen to their concerns and maybe make some changes to his plans.

But when foreigners make obscene amounts of money, feel unwelcome or unsafe in their own country, and come and crap in someone else's back yard, human decency is the last thing that occurs to them.

    Pass the sick bag.......

  3. Can someone tell me why a man of 79 years old who has made a huge amount of money is still intent on making the life of his fellow citizens and neighbours a misery?

Obviously this is a soul who is not at peace. He needs a priest. Urgently.

Savills is seriously devaluing their Brand by entering into this type of advocacy. It marginalises them from their market.

    1. Savillsky brand is riding high where the money talks - China, Russia, Gulf states and with assorted international pirates.

    2. Fair point. Rubbish in and rubbish out. Always a pity when established institutions "sell out" and become cheap. Lack of standards. A chronic problem in the Royal Borough at present.

  5. I had the misfortune to sit next to Lobotomy at a dinner party this week. Big ego. Small brain. Not much money. HUGE pretensions. Introduced himself as the "Savills planning chief" and bored everyone with his name dropping. Says he likes big tits.

  6. Lotinbiere is the original "haw haw" person. Not unlike the odious Cllr Warwick

  7. It's not only Savills' planning "expertise" which devalues their reputation: http://www.standard.co.uk/business/city-spy-zoo-humour-clogs-up-savills-a3099451.html
